Ask the Experts: Trans Fertility

June 11, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm EDT

  • « #AtHome Activity: LGBTQ+ Terms in American Sign Language
  • Drag Queen Story Time with the San Diego LGBTQ+ Community Center »

Do you have questions about how fertility is impacted by estrogen? Are you curious about whether it’s possible for you to have a biological child? Has fertility preservation ever crossed your mind? Join Family Equality and Project TRANS at The San Diego LGBT Community Center for this session focused on fertility and transgender women*!

CLICK HERE TO REGISTER FOR THIS EXCLUSIVE PANEL AND Q&A!

Our panel of experts will give you a basic overview of fertility for trans women, including information on HRT’s impacts on fertility, whether fertility preservation is an option for you, and what you can do if you’ve already started hormones. You’ll hear from Dr. Amanda Adeleye, who is America’s leading researcher on trans women’s fertility. She’ll be joined by an expert on trans fertility preservation from California Cryobank. And our panel will be rounded out by a trans woman whose partner gave birth to her genetic child. You’ll get clear, specific answers to your questions about your fertility, and there will be lots of time for questions at the end!

*Whether you’re a trans woman, identify as transfeminine, or are a non-binary person who was assigned male at birth, this session is for you!

ASL interpretation is available if needed. Please email us to request it!
