Community Conversation: Supporting Your Trans Children

This 90-minute virtual session is for parents and caregivers with transgender and nonbinary children. Writer and advocate Amber Leventry will guide attendees through strategies for supporting their children while finding ways to educate and support themselves. Mx. Leventry will also provide a basic overview of gender identity, pronouns, what it means to transition, and how to be an ally. The session will also be a space for questions and conversation. Join us to connect with other parents like you!

Amber Leventry is a queer, nonbinary writer, and advocate. They live in Vermont with their three children, one of who, is transgender. Their writing appears on The Next Family, Sammiches & Psych Meds, Babble, Ravishly, Longreads, and The Washington Post. They are a staff writer for Scary Mommy and Little Things. Follow them on Twitter and Instagram @amberleventry

Our Community Conversation sessions are interactive and a space for folks to come and listen but also engage and share their experience with the session’s topic. We hope you’ll join us!
